Account Manager, Open Access

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join a team of sales professionals driving sales of Nokia’s Network Infrastructure portfolio (IP, Optical and Fixed Networks) into the expanding open access network and neutral host market segment.
 

As part of the team, you will:

  • Be responsible for driving sales in your assigned territory or customer, explicitly focusing on exceeding annual plan targets for Order Intake and Revenue.
  • Build relationships with key customer stakeholders and become a "trusted advisor" to customers at all levels. 
  • Partner with sales engineers to understand and anticipate customer challenges and requirements to drive product and solution development.
  • Develop/maintain excellent internal and external partnerships and drive customer requirements into the business unit product plans.   
  • Drive and coordinate BG pre-sales and bid management engagement.
  • Work with Nokia’s RBC and BG staff to develop and drive the account strategy to position Nokia’s NI portfolio into customers and convert that strategy into net new market share gains and revenue growth within the territory.
  • Effectively articulate the Nokia vision on technologies and solutions toward the Customer and position Nokia as a thought leader on key technological developments
  • Apply economic analysis and financial concepts while managing sales opportunities and lead negotiations and close contracts
  • Build and regularly maintain a sales forecast in Salesforce.com providing visibility to a pipeline/funnel supporting annual plan targets.
  • complete annual training requirements in support of building sales skills and increasing product knowledge

You have:

  • At least 8 years of sales experience in a B2B environment within the telecommunications or high-tech industries. Selling to service providers is a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of the telecom industry and competitor trends
  • Proven business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in navigating internal processes and systems and supporting roles. 
  • Enthusiasm in keeping current on technological and market trends as well as competitive intelligence.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and excel in a complex selling environment driving consistent strategy across multiple customer sets.  

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of Nokia NI portfolio, particularly in Broadband and IP networking
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree is a plus
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (CRM / Salesforces.com) for pipeline / funnel management and MS tools (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
