Human Factors Professional Associate – Performance Nutrition Research Coordinator (Temporary Part-Time)
Join a team of skilled engineers and scientists conducting leading edge human performance research for the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). This part-time position works alongside customer principal investigator(s) leading multi-disciplinary teams working to discover, demonstrate, and transition products and solutions from the full spectrum of bioscience, biotechnology, and aerospace medicine, to enable, enhance, sustain, and restore the health and performance of the multi-domain Airman. Work will be performed under supervision and guidance of an experienced Ball senior project manager or program manager. This position will perform Logistics and Material Handling activities in support of company operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of operations of Logistic Hub Center and assigned squadron stations, including the distribution, ordering, and receiving of product(s).
- Receive, sort, control, and issue material to various departments.
- Perform various physical inventories from planning through reporting (i.e., plan, schedule, perform, reconcile, justify, and report).
- Plan and coordinate usage of storage space.
- Load and unload material from vehicles.
- Operate hand carts, pallet jacks, forklifts; and can lift 50 lbs.
- Perform various physical tasks from sitting, lifting boxes, bending, stretching, and moving product inventories from one location to another frequently or for longer periods of time.
- Review and verify paperwork received i.e., packing slips, email, or other instructions/requests to determine the work to be performed is accurate and in accordance with Logistics requirements.
- Resolve/escalate material discrepancies by reconciling overages or shortages and communicating/reporting to senior leadership.
- Operate vehicles as required.
- Monitor progress and communicate to customers.
- Provide Logistics Leadership status by organizing tasks, prioritizing tasks, and assigning or re-directing work of others to meet commitments or balance efforts to meet deadlines.
- Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- Assist with nutrition education presentations.
- Assist with data collection and data management.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
