Job Summary of the Sr. Veeva Vault Administrator

The Sr. Veeva Vault Administrator will manage and optimize various Veeva Vault modules such as CTMS, eTMF, RIM, and PromoMats. This role will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams, helping Axogen maintain and continuously improve the Veeva platform to meet regulatory requirements and optimize business processes. Additionally, the Sr. Veeva Vault Administrator will administer and enhance other third-party or custom-built applications, primarily within Operations.

Requirements of the Sr. Veeva Vault Administrator

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related field. Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Veeva administration, including Veeva modules such as CTMS, eTMF, RIM, and PromoMats with current certifications.
  • Proven ability to manage Tier 1, 2, and 3 changes to Veeva and other enterprise systems.
  • Strong experience in understanding business processes and recommending system configurations that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Experience with administering and integrating third-party or custom-developed applications in business functions such as Operations and Regulatory.
  • Additional certifications related to GxP or other regulatory frameworks in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry are a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of Veeva platform architecture and system integrations.
  • Solid experience with change management processes, including planning, testing, and implementing changes in production environments.
  • Experience with data integrity checks, and the ability to support audit and regulatory inspections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, non-technical way to business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address system issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and successful implementation of system changes.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Veeva Vault Administrator

The specific duties of the Sr. Veeva Vault Administrator include but are not limited to:

  • Administer, configure, and optimize Veeva Vault modules (CTMS, eTMF, RIM, PromoMats, etc.) to meet regulatory and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify system needs, propose configuration changes, and enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor system performance, implement improvements, and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Veeva systems and integrations.
  • Regularly update systems with new features, fixes, and enhancements.
  • Understand business processes across Clinical, Regulatory, and Marketing departments, and translate needs into technical specifications.
  • Take ownership of Tier 1, 2, and 3 system changes, managing the full lifecycle from scope definition to post-production support.
