Cleerly is creating a new standard of care for heart disease through value-based, AI-driven precision diagnostic solutions with the goal of helping prevent heart attacks. Our technology goes beyond traditional measures of heart disease by enabling comprehensive quantification and characterization of atherosclerosis, or plaque buildup, in each of the heart arteries. Cleerly’s solutions are supported by more than a decade of performing some of the world’s largest clinical trials to identify important findings beyond symptoms that increase a person’s risk of heart attacks.
About the Opportunity
Cleerly, Inc. is a technology-based healthcare company whose mission is to
create digital care pathways to prevent heart attacks. Cleerly, Inc, in Denver, CO is seeking an
Associate Director, Engineering (Medical Imaging) with expertise in medical imaging and
DICOM standards. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of subject matter
principles and concepts in order to perform the duties of the position.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
• Coach engineers & engineering managers on DICOM standards.
• Design backend APIs adhering to engineering best practices and medical imaging
needs.
• Document software and technology designs for compliance needs
• Review technical implementations and code for quality and accuracy
• Participate in hazard analysis in compliance with ISO 14971
• Create rendering frameworks for 3D medical imaging viewing and annotation
• Perform code reviews and drive bug triage
• Participate in sprint planning and design meetings to impart software design and
technical expertise for current and future projects
• Build a technical roadmap for the DICOM editing features based on the needs of
imaging experts.
• Debugging and fixing production software issues in a 24/7 environment
• Coding complex micro-services and business logic in Typescript and Python to
meet clinical requirements and performance at scale
• Developing software interfaces for interacting with Machine Learning models
• Implementing integrations with Amazon Web Services offerings leveraging
common coding best practices.
This position will manage project development and milestones but does not hold any
personnel management authority.
Minimum requirements:
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, Information Technology, or any related Engineering or IT field of study, plus at
least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).
Qualified candidates must also have demonstrable proficiency, knowledge, experience, or
skill with the following:
1. Demonstrated ability with Fullstack software engineering.
2. Demonstrable experience with fast-paced agile product development using JIRA.
3. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL.
4. React and Redux.
5. Subject matter expertise in Docker, AWS and infrastructure as code.
6. Demonstrated experience building SaaS applications for scale in Amazon Web
Services.
7. Document regulatory compliant software designs prior to regulatory submissions and
product launch to ensure software fulfills functional requirements and meets user needs.
Less than 5% domestic travel. Work from home benefit is available.

Salary - $160,000 - $210,000
