Business Development Marketing Intern

The Role: 

ElevateBio is looking for a Summer Marketing Intern to join the ElevateBio BaseCamp Commercial Team and become a vital contributor to our inspiring, bold mission.  The goal of the summer program is to provide an engaging marketing internship experience through a variety of projects under the supervision of the Associate Director of BaseCamp Marketing Operations at ElevateBio. At the completion of the internship, the Summer Marketing Intern should have a thorough understanding of marketing in the fast-paced cell and gene therapy industry 

Summer Marketing Interns will act in the same capacity as a marketing manager participating in all marketing activities, business unit meetings, and planning sessions.  Summer Marketing Interns may be assigned a specific project to be completed by the end of the internship in addition to routine activities designed to achieve the goal of a complete marketing management experience. 

Here’s What You’ll Do:  

• Support the concepting, design and delivery of innovative marketing experiences that demonstrate the value of our technologies and services to potential customers in the biomanufacturing industry 
• Collaborate with Business Development, R&D and Communication teams to support the concepting and development process for marketing experiences to generate awareness and conversion of product platforms and services 
• Support the development of go-to-market strategies, collaborating with external creative, channel marketing, and insights teams to drive customer engagement 
• Help coordinate the marketing and communication strategy across internal stakeholder teams 
• Help design measurement plans in partnership with Insights teams to assess the impact of our customers' experiences 
• Understand social media and technology trends to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams – always with the customer at the heart of our work 
• In addition to the above activities, they will assist in researching potential conference opportunities, gathering relevant information to evaluate attendance options. This includes assessing sponsorship opportunities, presentation options, and other key factors to support informed decision-making. 

Requirements: 

• Must be enrolled in a U. S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship 
• University student with at least two years of university studies prior to internship 
• Experience in MS Office applications 
• Experience with creating layouts, social media visuals, and other design deliverables. 
• Knowledge of additional design tools such as Canva 
• Excellent communication skills: written, oral, interpersonal and presentation 
• Problem solving and analytical skills - ability to gather, evaluate and interpret data to identify issues or opportunities 
• Ability to organize and communicate with internal and external stakeholders 
• Ability to prioritize work effectively to meet timelines 
• Interpersonal Flexibility - ability to adapt to other personalities, communication and working styles in a respectful manner that is conducive to goal achievement 
• Interested candidates should possess a strong desire to learn about the marketing/commercial side of the biotech business
