Front Desk Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Front Desk Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator to join our team and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients in our Jasper office. At Koslin and Kahn Oral and Facial Surgery, our core belief is putting the patient’s needs first, and it underlies every aspect of our practice. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in oral surgery and dental procedures, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
• Answer phone calls promptly.
• Schedule procedures for clinical visits.
• Assist with patient paperwork and medical history.
• Verify patient insurance – both medical and dental.
• Respond to patient's questions concerning billing and payments.
• Process patient insurance payments.
• Submit claims to insurance companies.
• Research and examine all claims.
• Process outstanding claims reports.
• Work denied claims and submit corrected claims.
• Post EFT, check payments, and credit card payments.
• Document effective notes for each patient.
• Enjoy interacting with patients and working in a team environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in oral surgery and/or dental field is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Follow protocols and guidelines as they relate to patient privacy (HIPAA/OSHA).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and dental software.
• Ability to stay organized while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Focused on details.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
