Job Title: IT Technology Services Senior Specialist

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to deliver outcomes of assigned projects. 

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Work independently on topics while setting priorities having sole responsibility. Complex issues in own area (e.g. cross-functional or cross-country projects); Decisions/solutions can enhance essentially current and future; design and strategy; Enhance complex systems/processes. Advanced technical or business or project skills relevant for job. Represents SAP to customers; Communicates clear and conveying processes & policies in a way that others can understand. User-Centricity: Advocating for the end user by having a deep understanding of end user needs, behaviors & usage patterns. Promoting the role of User Experience, thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies & practices and ability to integrate those into current and future development efforts. Develop and provide systems, applications, products and services to optimize/automate business processes, improve work efficiency and provides the expert support in operations. Revise and update existing programs and provides required documentation. Facilitate the service lifecycle and product lifecycle. For Delivery, acts as a technology expert to: Execute technical feasibility studies / solution reviews. Define / review technical blueprint for internal IT projects. Customize and develop enhancements. Implement the solutions. Provide technical documentation. For Operation, acts as a cross functional technology expert to: Execute and support problem management and continuous improvement. Participate in de-escalation activities. Contribute to the Build to Run engagement. Contribute to the definition of technical 

standards and frameworks. 

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.  Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and four years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve four years in the following:  

• Architect, Build, Test, Maintain and Operate the SAP systems; 

• Resolving customer-critical situations during Go-Live Evaluate our clients’ SAP solution implementation projects to minimize potential risks;
