The Service Fund Senior Value-Based Programs Analyst supports our Market and Provider partners through ensuring our PCP Panels, Membership and Processes are accurate. The Senior Value-Based Programs Analyst work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Key responsibilities

• Focuses on value-based strategies related to the administration of value-based contracts
• Supports the markets in all value-based contract administration strategies and supports implementation of those strategies through regular engagement and analytical support
• Captures, analyzes, and manages data from a variety of sources
• Provides project management support for key initiatives
• Calculates contract settlements based upon contractual stipulations and reconciliation of payments
• Utilizes SQL, Excel, and other technical skills to build, maintain, and store datasets and drive process improvement

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of data analysis skills
• 1+ years of healthcare provider data experience
• Advanced experience in developing SQL queries
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience, particularly in MS Excel (Pivot tables, Macros, Vlookups, formatting, etc.)
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
• Financial and business acumen with the ability to put context around data
• Must be adaptable, able to manage and prioritize diverse and complex projects
• Self-starter, highly motivated and confident in their ability to drive program results independently with strong attention to detail, ability to identify issues, and provide resolutions quickly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA)
• Proficient in understanding Healthcare related data
• Medicare and/or Value Based knowledge

• To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
  • Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership.  (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)
  • Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota.  Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
