About the role
The Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of customer owned equipment; safety equipment may include SCBA’s, Level A Suits, Emergency Exit Signs & Lights, Portable & Fixed Gas Detection, Emergency Eyewash & Showers, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Monitors, Fire Hydrants, Fire Hose testing, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job
- Perform monthly inspections & maintenance on fire extinguishers
- Fire hose testing
- Functional testing of Scott, MSA, and Honeywell (Survivair) SCBA’s
- Perform inspections on emergency shower & eyewash stations
- Maintain demo and rental equipment
- Enter service orders into the order entry system and prepare equipment for shipment
- Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and coordinate paperwork
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer personnel air monitoring equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer fixed gas detection equipment
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Two to five years related experience and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work effectively
- Possess problem solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be results-orientated and highly productive
