Responsibilities

Job Purpose We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant who will prepare all aspects of day-today accounting, month-end close, collections, reporting, and reconcilliations.

This temporary position is expected to last at least 4 months with option to extend. 

 

Major Accountabilties

• General Ledger Maintenance / Rev Rec – Responsible for preparation of recurring journal entries, adjusting journal entries, and revenue recognition work papers
• Financial Reporting – Responsible for preparing financial statement drafts and any other ad hoc ERP reporting
• Accounts Receivable / Billing – Responsible for preparing customer billings in accordance with contract / following up on collections or customer inquiries
• Contract Review - Responsible to prepare contract checklist documents
• Internal Controls
• Ad-hoc Analysis

Qualifications

Required Work Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive accounting experience preferably in the construction or renewable energy industries
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar cloud-based ERP accounting software.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with percentage of completion accounting methodology for project-based industries.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
