CNA - Various Departments Per Diem

PER DIEM OPPORTUNITY

Cary Medical Center is currently accepting applications for per diem CNAs to join our Nursing Departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting patient safety, obtaining vital signs, and assisting patients with activities of daily living.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

1. Obtains and documents vital signs and reports abnormal findings to patient’s nurse.    
2. Performs daily weights and reports abnormal findings to patient’s nurse.    
3. Appropriately documents ADLs, ambulation, intake and output, vital signs, weights, safety rounding, and any other patient care activities performed throughout shift.    
4. Ensures that patients have fresh water, while appropriately observing patients with NPO status or fluid restrictions.
5.  Assists in ambulating patient according to physician order.

Requirements

1. Must have an active valid CNA certificate in Maine. 

2. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 

3. Obtains BLS certification within 1 year of hire into this position and maintains current certification thereafter.    

Schedule:

With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other units.
