Job Description

The Treasury Forecast Manager is a key member of the Asset Liability Management (ALM) team, responsible for developing and managing the balance sheet and net interest income forecast across the Investment Portfolio, Funding, and Other Asset / Other Liability (OAOL) categories. This role requires a strong understanding of balance sheet dynamics, interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with business partners across Treasury, Finance, and Risk.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance the balance sheet and NII forecast for key balance sheet products, including:

  • Investment Portfolio, Short-term and Long-term borrowings, Other Assets / Other Liabilities (OAOL), Shareholders Equity

  • Partner with investment portfolio managers, funding desk, and corporate finance to incorporate assumptions on volumes, pricing, and interest rate scenarios into forecast

  • Collaborate with ALM forecast team, funding desk, and liquidity to understand and solve for short-term and long-term balance sheet funding needs

  • Continuously improve forecasting tools, data quality, and documentation

2. Interest Rate Risk Management:

  • Partner with the investment portfolio management team and head of Interest Rate Risk to ensure accurate measurement of IRR and that IRR positioning is within limits

  • Analyze forecast sensitivity to rate changes and provide recommendations for hedging strategies


3. Leadership:

  • Lead forecasting workstreams and partner with Finance, Risk, and Treasury teams to ensure forecast alignment across the enterprise

  • Present forecast results and insights to senior management and key internal stakeholders

  • Drive transparency and accountability around forecast inputs and methodologies

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis concepts and methodologies
- Considerable knowledge of accounting theory practice, regulatory requirements and reporting
- Well-developed financial analysis, forecasting and planning skills
- Management experience preferred

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
