About the role

Coordinate the configuration, training, and implementation of DC slotting software. Determine media requirements for DC’s. Support DC’s with projects related to slotting, rack changes, and process improvement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Serve in the capacity of task force leader and project sponsor in the implementation of slotting software.

Ensure the slotting software design supports distribution objectives.

Comprehensive end-user testing of slotting software.

Documentation of procedures to support system enhancements and process improvements. Ensure that training documentation is consistent with the latest operational procedures. Configuration of slotting software to support distribution objectives.

Determine storage media requirements for new DC projects and remodels as needed.

Monitor results of project implementation in relation to the expected benefits

Perform research and analysis to support distribution objective, including:

Cost/benefit analyses to support system enhancements and process improvements. Development of reports that measure performance in areas of involvement such as productivity, accuracy, slotting, etc.

Ad-hoc analyses and gathering data, as needed, to support planning, execution, and administration of distribution objectives.

Special projects, support, and other duties as assigned to achieve distribution objectives.

Travel as needed to support distribution objectives, system implementation, and configurations.

All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 2 years of experience in O’Reilly distribution center operations

Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Access, and Query tools

Good communication skills

Desired:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in areas related to computer science, business, logistics, or industrial engineering

Experience in all areas of O’Reilly distribution center operations

Familiarity with Logistics-Pro software and configurations
