The Director, Capital Projects Execution & Delivery is a senior leader and thought partner responsible for providing strategic and operational oversight across the full capital project lifecycle—from concept development and front-end planning (FEP) through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
This role has end-to-end accountability for the successful execution of a capital portfolio exceeding $500M annually. The Director leads large-scale, complex capital projects to ensure safe, predictable, and cost-effective delivery aligned with corporate strategy and operational objectives.
Operating in a key leadership role within the Asset Management, Engineering & Projects (AMEP) organization, this position will report to the Vice President -AMEP and will drive disciplined execution, rigorous risk management, and continuous improvement in capital delivery performance across North America.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to a team of Regional Capex Managers and Project Analysts to ensure effective project execution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver capital investments that meet operational, financial, regulatory, and safety requirements
- Lead the execution and delivery of capital projects and programs within approved scope, schedule, and budget
- Enforce project management, execution, and governance standards across the portfolio
- Oversee contractors, EPC partners, and internal project delivery teams
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and quality standards
- Allocate resources, manage budgets, monitor spend performance, and proactively mitigate cost and schedule risks
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, finance, procurement, and senior leadership teams
- Develop, mentor, and build succession pipelines for project delivery talent
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across the capital project portfolio
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferably in combination with project management engineering
- 15+ years of experience leading complex, multi‑million‑dollar capital projects in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure environments
- Strong leadership, commercial, and stakeholder‑management capabilities
- Deep understanding of project controls, contract management, and capital governance frameworks<
