Raytheon Advanced Product & Solutions (APS) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Program Manager (PM) to lead program oversight of cost, schedule, technical performance within Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS).  The selected candidate will be responsible for managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of existing program, executing cost reduction initiatives (CRIs) to position the program for future growth, and leading engineering change proposals (ECPs) on existing program.

What You Will Do

  • Meet contractual commitments including the financial, quality, cost efficiency, technical and schedule performance
  • Develop partnerships with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Operations & Supply Chain, Quality, etc.)
  • Execute within a closed environment
  • Monitor, interact and course correct teams to support customer goals
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the customer counterparts
  • Establish and execute baseline schedule, negotiating and executing change requirements
  • Drive a cross-functional team with focus on Design and Development, Operations, Supply Chain, and Transition to Production.
  • Ensure implementation of a robust Risk & Opportunity Management plan, including proactive schedule risk management, to ensure predictable program performance 
  • Travel to participate in domestic business engagements (once per quarter on average)

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience in program management or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Experience managing development programs, transition to production programs, and/or production programs
  • Experience leading proposal activity
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience with managing cost, schedule, and performance with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, or similar business processes
  • An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Program Management Level 4 Certification or ability to obtain within one year
  • Experience engaging and reporting out to all levels of executive stakeholders
  • Ability to focus, evaluate, motivate, and reward teams, enabling them to achieve desired results
  • Experience leading capture activities and winning new business in a competitive environment
  • Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Program management experience in multiple program lifecycle phases, including development, transition-to-production, production or sustainment
