As part of the Corporate and Hospitality Solutions Accounting team, and a large global accounting team, you will be responsible for the accounting related to various aspects of Sabre’s Corporate, Hospitality and consolidated activities. In this position, you will have the opportunity to interact with a broad and diverse group that includes Treasury, Finance, Real Estate, Internal Audit and our External auditors. You will also have the opportunity to utilize established robotic processes in performing your work and present new ideas for expanding robotic processes at Sabre. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
- Completion of month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts and resolving related issues
- Coordinate and lead the Corporate and Sabre Consolidated quarterly balance sheet analyses
- Standardize accounting policies and procedures and evaluate areas for process improvement, including through the use of robotics
- Prepare monthly CECL reserve calculations for Hospitality with the assistance of robotic processes, prepare monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management for Hospitality Solutions,
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors in their quarter/ annual audits as well as performing various key controls and supporting SOX certification processes
- Perform Segregation of Duties analyses quarterly, utilizing SAP’s GRC tool
- Initiate and validate certain activities in SAP to ensure the accurate posting of foreign exchange translation results during close
- Monitor monthly results and reporting in HFM for completeness and accuracy
- Research technical accounting issues
- Cross train on other functional areas as needed
- Perform special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor degree required (Masters preferred)
- CPA or parts passed preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years accounting experience, 2 years public accounting preferred
- E-commerce, technology or travel industry experience a plus
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Specific skills:
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including comfort with the use of pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced formula inputs and hot keys
- SAP financial systems experience a plus
General skills:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, written and verbal
- Candidate must be detail oriented and accurate with good mathematical, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively & efficiently within given timelines
- Detail-oriented with both the ambition and willingness to dive into the details necessary to accomplish responsibilities and solve problems.
