What will a Maintenance Technician do?
The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of our facilities, supporting a safe and efficient environment for our employees and program participants.
Job Functions

Routine Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
Inspect and maintain building systems and equipment.
Ensure the proper functioning of facility infrastructure.
Travel required to company locations.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Identify and diagnose maintenance issues and equipment malfunctions.
Effectively repair or coordinate repairs to resolve issues promptly.
Perform minor equipment installations and modifications.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations.
Report safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Participate in emergency response efforts as needed.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and repairs.
Update maintenance logs and documentation as required.
Inventory Management:
Assist in monitoring and managing maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
Notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
Assist in coordinating with external vendors for specialized maintenance needs.
Emergency Response:
Be available for after-hours and emergency response as required.
Assist in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans.
Ability to travel and work on any GIGCA site while performing the essential functions of this position.
Regular attendance is an essential function.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Knowledge And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or trade school certifications are a plus.
Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a similar role.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
Ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Driver license for 3 years.
Valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance Verification, required.
Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record.
Performance Measurements
Maintenance Task Completion:
Percentage of assigned maintenance tasks completed within the specified time frame.
Benchmark: 95% or higher task completion rate.
