About the role

As a member of the company’s IT Infrastructure team, the Project Manager will lead efforts in collaboration with IT Infrastructure mangers and the Information Security team to drive project initiation, documentation, prioritization, tracking, and reporting.  This role will be pivotal in coordinating with each team and cross-functional efforts within IT and other departments across the company.  The Project Manager must possess a solid understanding of IT Infrastructure operations to balance day to day tasks, emerging requests, or critical events with short, medium, and long term projects.  A foundational knowledge of the technologies used by the team is essential, as well as the ability to work closely with managers, administrators, engineers, and architects to track, complete, and document tasks efficiently and effectively.

Duties:

  • Coordinate with managers from IT Systems, Network, Tech Support, Information Security, and Special Projects to facilitate project meetings in conjunction with their teams, ensuring consistent creation and updating of project tracking.
  • Partner with the VP of InfoSec and IT Infrastructure to work with managers on prioritizing and tracking cross-team projects, as well as projects supporting other departments and business objectives.
  • Facilitate regular touchpoints between the teams and departments to ensure projects and maintenance efforts are identified and progressing on schedule.
  • Coordinate information security and compliance weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings, ensuring meetings, agendas, and slides are prepared in advance and notes from the meetings are recorded.    
  • Create, update, track projects and create and refine reporting mechanisms to assist management team to identify and summarize team accomplishments and capacity management.
  • Participate in departmental budgeting and goal setting process to maintain awareness of long-term and short-term project priorities.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment that consists of at least two onsite days in downtown Denver office per week, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays for in-person team collaboration.
  • Must be able to work during normal business hours.
  • Team orientation and ability to work across a dynamic, cross-function team to assist the managers to prioritize and track projects. 
  • Understanding of information technology and information security operations.
  • Ability to track concurrent projects while maintaining understanding of day to day operational balance.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-departmental communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and being able to make decisions that add value to the business without direction.
  • Ability to work in a high achievement environment with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to assist multiple managers prioritize and work projects and incorporate and track inputs from across the team and interdepartmentally.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001/2, SOC2, PCI, NIST, HIPPA, and Sarbanes-Oxley processes as many of the projects align with regulatory or contractual obligations to maintain public attestations.
  • Comfortable with leveraging multiple technologies and continuously look to for ways to automate the updating, tracking, and documentation of projects and meetings within various tools to include ServiceNow, Office 365, Box, Zoom, etc.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with variety of personality types across the IT spectrum and find effective ways to assist in documenting project accomplishment.

Education and Experience:

  • PMP certification, or equivalent certification, strongly preferred
  • College degree or trade schools preferred or equivalent work/life experience
  • At least 4 years of Project Management experience, preferably with IT infrastructure
