About the role

<p><strong>Licensed Veterinary Technician</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary: </strong>$23.00 - $30.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. <strong>$2,500 Sign-on Bonus!</strong></p> <p><strong>Schedule: </strong>This is a full-time position. Monday - Friday, rotating weekends and some closing shifts. Option to work three long shifts and one short shift to reach 40 hours, allowing for three days off each week.</p> <p><strong>Ark Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician </strong>to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Because we know your pets are family, too.</li> <li>Yearly scrub allowance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.</li> <li>Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.</li> <li>Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates</li> <li>Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.</li> <li>Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.</li> <li>Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.</li> <li>Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in New York State.</li> <li>Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.</li> <li>Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.</li> <li>Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Ark Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care </strong></p> <p>Ark Veterinary Hospital &amp; Urgent Care has been a trusted part of the Henrietta and Rochester communities since 2018, offering top-quality care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
