Purpose

  • Field communications is the central conduit for field assignments and tasks. Field communications also assists in managing the flow of information to the field, constructing, and following a schedule to ensure the flow of information arrives when most impactful and appropriate. This position is cross functional to all operational departments including Aftersales, Customer Experience, Training, Sales, Marketing and Dealer Network Development.
  • This position is critical to support field assignments for dealer performance improvement and communicating the priorities of the Sales Vice Presidents and organization. The field communications assistant manager will assist the department and field teams with communications to better support the field teams on their focus on key strategic priorities on Dealer Performance including Dealer Profitability, increasing Sales and customer satisfaction.
  • The primary goal for this position is to enable our field staff to be as effective as possible by providing efficient and effective communications, and to identify and support field training through monthly field operations managed training session, and through collaboration with the National Training Division to build a field training curriculum following best practices and developing our field organization to best in industry. The Field Communications department strives to enhance both sales and aftersales effectiveness and productivity.

Major Responsibilities

Field Communications and Coordination:

  • Support the Manager and Department with scheduling and coordinating with various departmental meetings such as NHQ meetings, aligned with governance and field meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively with all Executives, HMA personnel, and affiliates as needed to accomplish tasks and strategies provided by National Sales Executives
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of the Bi-weekly RSM Touchpoint meetings, RPSM touch points monthly field AS & CX meetings.
  • Support and collaborate within Field Operations - Field Sales Operations & Analysis, Dealer Performance and Relations, to ensure alignment.
  • Support field training needs through scheduling monthly field operations, manage training session, and through collaboration with the National Training Division to assist in building a field training curriculum following best practices and developing our field organization to be best in industry.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

Budget Management:

  • Assist with overseeing Field Operations purchasing activities associated with project responsibility such as developing Scope of Services (SOS) documents and overseeing the Purchase Request (PR) process for all department programs.
  • Act as a liaison between the suppliers, HMA Purchasing department, and Hyundai Financial Planning and Analysis department for Field Operations.
  • Exercise discretion and provide strategic direction on best usage of the department budget utilizing SAP system.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze department budget spending and assist division with accruals and budget schedules.

Authority

  • Advanced knowledge of program communication, program coordination, problem identification, and finding solutions are all expected in this position. 
  • Program approvals, and budget decisions must ultimately be approved by the Director and/or VP of National Sales.
  • Create, release, and pay departmental invoices through SAP.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate~ Master’s degree a plus~ Bachelor’s degree preferred

Related Experience

  • Five or more years of relevant experience preferably in Automotive Retail and Wholesale.

  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinker.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
