This position will support the Banfield Pet Hospital South region (e.g., Atlanta, GA; Ft. Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Orlando, FL; Tampa Bay, FL).
Salary Range: $75,029 - $103,165 (based on experience & location)
Summary and Qualifications:
Train hospital leaders to maximize productivity and to ensure quality communications with Associates, clients, field leadership and central team support. This role will also play a key role in the implementation, execution, and measurement of approved learning & development programs aligned with practice priorities.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Drive and deliver exceptional learning experiences that enable hospital leaders to coach, facilitate, and support Associates and their learning.
- Analyze market knowledge and skills to provide personalized leadership development aligned with business priorities and metrics.
- Provide side-by-side training as needed to ensure the effective transfer of knowledge and skills to hospital leaders, driving both leadership and operational performance.
- Support the continued development of hospital leaders post-onboarding in partnership with field leaders.
- Manage learning solutions to meet Associate needs and expectations through clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and a supportive learning environment.
- Deliver practice-approved training in alignment with standards, ensuring consistency across all programs.
- Assess potential gaps in skills, abilities, or knowledge, and recommend appropriate training and resources to address them.
- Evaluate and determine the most effective learning methods to improve hospital leader performance.
- Support onboarding at all levels, with a particular focus on the effective onboarding of new hospital leaders.
- Collaborate with field leaders, People & Organization (P&O), and learning teams to understand and prioritize training needs.
- Advise hospital leaders on team development and strategies to close skills gaps.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences both virtually and in person, including sessions at national and market-level meetings.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
- This position requires 70% travel.
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 25 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or Communication is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Three years of training delivery or leadership experience are required.
- Ability to facilitate meetings with strong presentation skills to deliver training both in-person and virtually is required.
- Knowledge of principles for measuring training effectiveness is required.
- Healthcare background (veterinary or human) is preferred.
