About the role
We’re forming a new team to expand our existing consultative category service offering, and now we are looking for a Data Management Team Lead to lead this team and its Taxonomy Specialists in Bucharest.
The team will work cross-functionally to serve the entire lifecycle of our clients, and internal product development needs. Additionally, the team will be supporting our clients in building and reforming their data hierarchies, focusing heavily on sourcing taxonomies. These hierarchies form the foundation of Sievo’s data classification services.
As a Team Lead for the new Data Management team, you would
- Lead a team of procurement Taxonomy Specialists and act as the first point of contact for your team members
- Prioritize team tasks and manage stakeholder requests and escalations. You would make independent decisions on best approaches, while being able to shift focus and remain flexible when confronting ad hoc requests.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the team, as well as recruit and onboard new team members. You would manage the workload, wellbeing and performance of your team members to ensure the quality of your team’s work.
- Drive internal development initiatives for central category services in alignment with other Data Management teams and Product Development
- Work alongside your team to build, monitor and maintain quality of category hierarchies in Sievo
- Work with a combination of Sievo’s own proprietary tools and Microsoft SQL
What we are looking for from you
- Excellent internal and external communication skills
- Previous experience working with category structures and/or as a team manager
- Good coordination, task, and project management skills
- You’re a proactive collaborator who is not afraid to take initiative and get things done
- Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines, while recognizing when to take time off
- Fluency in English – other language skills are appreciated

This is a full-time position that provides a great opportunity to make an impact and contribute to building our new Data Management team from day one!
The salary for this position ranges from 7.500 to 10.000 RON/net per month depending on the previous experience of the candidate. This is a hybrid role, and candidate is expected to be based in Bucharest.
