Purpose
To provide leadership, professional knowledge and expertise in the administration, support and continued sustainability of environmental, occupational health and safety programs, policies and procedures and training for Facilities Services.
Responsibilities
Provides program administration to include confined space entry, Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO), fall protection, hazardous materials storage, PPE and others as required. Perform quarterly Worker's Compensation data reviews and operational audits of operations and facilities within Facilities Services to provide incident trends and costs reports. Reviews registration and documents for regulatory and University safety compliance (i.e. TCEQ Tier II).
Coordinate with Facilities Services Training as Subject Matter Expert in the design and development of written and computer-based training. Conducts training for all levels of employees.
Performs industrial hygiene evaluations, occupational and general safety audits to ensure a safe environment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
