Spathe is currently searching for multiple freelance SOF Medical Executive Subject Matter Experts to join our team.

 

Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF-led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL, with offices in Fayetteville, NC, and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a Joint Special Operations Medical Orientation Course (JSOMOC) and audience curriculum development for SOF partner nation personnel. Joint Special Operations Medical Orientation Course (JSOMOC) Course: A five-day course covering SOF medical operations concepts and fundamentals of medical roles and capabilities, with a focus on SOF medical operations in a joint setting. Students also examine SOF medical plans, current lessons learned, medical force protection, medical logistics, operational risk assessment, and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC)
• Develop and manage courses, seminars, and special events associated with partner nation education. 
• Provide professional curriculum and instruction, research and writing, student development, and course direction for partner nations. 
• Support strategic planning for the development of SOF-related curriculum. 
• Conduct curriculum design, development, presentation, and evaluation of educational material.

Qualifications

• 10 years of SOF medical experience as a SOF Medic/Doctor, Ranger Medic, Physician Assistant, Special Forces Battalion Surgeon/Flight Surgeon/Group Surgeon at the BN staff level or above, SOTF, JSOTF, or SOJTF.
• 10 years of executive–level leadership experience in a national security or national policy program or organization with service at the Senior Foreign Service, Senior Executive Service, military flag officer, or equivalent grade level. 
• 20 years’ experience in national security affairs, or recognized academic expertise on subjects of SOF Ground, Sea, Air, or Interagency. 
• 5 years’ post-secondary faculty experience and experience with classroom delivery techniques, including distributed and distance learning, desired but not required. 
• Ability to travel as required CONUS and OCONUS.

 

Education:

• MA/MS required in an area related to national security *All degrees used to qualify a candidate for a PTE position shall be from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university. 

 

Clearance:

• TOP SECRET clearance required; SCI eligible

Work Location:

• One location – MacDill, AFB

 

Travel:

• Travel is required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, including hazardous sites. The Contractor shall travel as initiated by written tasking.
