12-month Internship - Project Manager - Life Sciences

About the role

This is a full-time internship that will be part of the GAIA program run by the Fundación Universidad Empresa (FUE). You can find more information here: https://fundacionuniversidadempresa.es/en/training/talent-programs/gaia/

This program is for students who have recently graduated or just in the very end of their degree/masters. Only pending 1 or 2 subjects and/or the final project. It is a FULL-TIME paid internship. Whilst working with us, you will also complete an online course - a MASTER IN DECISION MAKING AND INNOVATION (90 ECTS), by Universidad de Alcalá.

At Oracle Life Sciences our focus is to help talented junior professionals secure their very first job in the healthcare sector. This position is an internship and requires no previous experience. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support project teams on delivering world-class results for some of the best-known organizations within the pharmaceutical industry, whilst receiving full training and support from experienced consultants. 

You will develop your consulting and analytical skillset in supporting the design, development, and delivery of exciting consulting / market research projects. Assignments range in complexity from evaluating and scoping opportunities, research analysis, and problem solving, to translating data into meaningful insights and communicating recommendations to our clients.

We would love to meet you if you are interested in developing a consulting mindset, be trained on data analysis, and support execution activities for complex healthcare data projects with technology.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support internal team with project management tasks throughout all stages of engagements: identifying the client’s needs, defining the approach, performing analysis, working on drawing insights and conclusions, making strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure timely communication and task completion with our partners and providers.
  • Develop sophisticated communication skills, both bottom-up and top-down, to work with non- savvy senior clients and staff.
  • Gain a deep knowledge of the healthcare industry.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Life Sciences and an interest in Technology & Data Science, or in a field related to Technology or Data Science and an interest in Life Sciences
  • Currently enrolled in Master’s degree in either Life Sciences or Information technology or Data Science
  • Fluency in English
  • Drive to handle challenges, take initiative, and figure out solutions in a fast-paced environment 
  • Willingness to learn new things and be trained in a variety of topics during the internship
  • C1 or equivalent ability to verbally communicate fluently and spontaneously, and write clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Positive team spirit, with strong interpersonal skills

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Domain knowledge in Life Sciences, or Technology (fundamentals of programming, databases, data visualization, AI and cognitive services, etc)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Passion for innovation, and the ability to influence and drive consensus with multiple stakeholders
