Job Description:
This is professional services work of a managerial nature performing project management for transportation engineering within the Department of Transportation.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
The management, development, and delivery of MaineDOT's infrastructure for a significant number and variety of moderately complex, public capital improvement projects statewide,
Maintaining project budgets and authorizing, monitoring, and controlling expenditures,
Maintaining project schedules
Monitor performance and take actions to continuously improve product delivery
Allocating resources, and
Authorizing work by state forces, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
Supervision is exercised over professional engineers and professional/technical staff members who perform engineering related work and activities. Work is performed under administrative direction.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Registered as a Professional Engineer and at least one (1) year of project management experience at the professional level -OR- 12 years of technical engineering experience with at least three years of project management experience.
