Qualifications:
Rising Sophomore to Graduate Students currently enrolled in a college or university.
Interns must be willing to attend a two-day orientation on Eastern Standard Time.

Global Payments Data and Analytics team is looking for a programming Intern to join our group for Summer 2024! The Data and Analytics team is responsible for managing the companies multi-petabyte data lake, developing data pipelines, providing analytics and access to hundreds of customers both inside and outside the company. As a Programmer with our team, you will work together on a UI / UX project enabling the automation of data pipelines critical to our systems and processes. You will be exposed to a fast paced agile environment with 3 week sprints, change management processes, and a fully automated DevOps deployment structure.   

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with the Data and Analytics team to develop and refine user interfaces for our data pipeline automation projects.

• Participate in bi-weekly sprint meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and next steps.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in React and JavaScript to implement front-end features.

• Assist in integrating front-end components with server-side logic written in Python.

• Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and issues within the front-end codebase.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

What are the requirements?

• Must be enrolled in a Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems or other related program at an accredited university or seeking a career in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and programming.

• Demonstrable experience with front-end technologies, including React and JavaScript; experience with Python is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles and user-centered development.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking and analytical skills.
