WIC Program Generalist

We are seeking a WIC Program Generalist to provide essential support in the WIC certification process and ensure eligible participants receive food benefits. Based in our New Brunswick location, this full-time role is perfect for someone passionate about public health, customer service, and helping families thrive. Responsibilities
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
- Delivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experience
- Schedules WIC appointments
- Obtains, verifies and documents participant information
- Obtains anthropometric measurements and blood work for participants
- Maintains inventory logs for blood work, blood work controls and cuvettes
- Distributes WIC checks
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
- Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Experience with culturally diverse population
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Valid drivers license
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Busy clinic environment at various locations in the community; ability to carry/lift 40 lbs; requires setting up tables and chairs; requires transporting supplies and equipment to WIC clinics; responsible for laptop and related equipment
