All About You

Under general direction, oversees the strategic, academic, and administrative activities related to College for Public Health & Social Justice (CPHSJ) public health graduate programs; lead and supervise staff to ensure high quality student service; foster relationships with college and university leadership, and external partners to create accountability for program goals; provide strategic direction for program assessment, efficiency, growth, and curriculum reinvention.

 

POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Oversee the academic and administrative activities for the public health graduate programs, including the Master of Public Health, Master of Biostatistics in Health Data Analytics program, and 5 public health-related Post Baccalaureate Certificates.

•Create strategies for improvement and efficiencies. Collaborate with college and university leadership, community partners, and public health employers to ensure the graduate program curricula are current and relevant.  

•Collaborate with the MPH Program Director on program assessment requirements, program review, and activities related to accreditation of college in response to Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).

•Oversee the development of program course schedules, and publication of the courses and schedules.

•Supervise staff to deliver consistent high-quality service. Create and manage workflows, ensuring prioritization and coordination across functional areas with accountability for those results.

•Develop a consistent and efficient model to serve students within the graduate programs, including registration, scheduling, student petitions, and all other student issues/requests.

•Oversee special projects as requested; performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree, preferably in Public Health or closely related field, supplemented with five (5) years of related experience.

Remote/In-person Expectations

This position will require working in the office, with the flexibility to be hybrid schedule eligible upon completion of the initial 6 months of onsite training and familiarizing with department work and operations in compliance with the requirements of the SLU Remote Staff Flexible Work Policy.
