Job Description

We are seeking an organized and efficient on Site Supervisor to join our team in Rocky River, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance operations of a school facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

• Supervise and coordinate the janitorial team, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient completion of daily cleaning and maintenance duties
• Develop and maintain cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas of the school are properly maintained
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify and address maintenance issues promptly
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Train new janitorial staff members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
• Collaborate with school administration to address any specific cleaning or maintenance needs
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations as they arise
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, maintenance requests, and inventory
• Implement and oversee energy-efficient practices to reduce costs and environmental impact 

Pay Rate  $18.00 - $20.00hr. depending on experience 

Clean Criminal Background and Reliable Transportation required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of janitorial experience in a school or similar setting
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills
• Thorough knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures, including the use of various cleaning equipment and supplies
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to school environments
• Proficiency in inventory management and scheduling
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certifications in custodial services or facility management (preferred)
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime as needed
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment

Must pass a BCI/FBI background check and reliable transportation.
