Everest Insurance®, the insurance division of Everest Group, Ltd. is seeking a Head of Insurance Operations based in its global headquarters in Warren, NJ.  As a key member of the Insurance leadership team reporting to the Global Chief Operations Officer, you will play a vital role in overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of business processes and be accountable for delivering a market leading customer experience for our distribution partners and insureds. 

This position will lead the operations function for Everest Insurance in North America (US, Canada, Bermuda).  This includes accountability for the staff and key processes in the following functions:

  • Underwriting Service Operations 

  • Premium Audit

  • Field and Client Services

  • Business Process Optimization  

  • Statistical Reporting, Compliance, and Agency Services

Essential Job Functions

Leadership and management of the above functions along with sponsorship to deliver various initiatives in support of Everest’s financial objectives. The fundamental areas of engagement for this position include:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across pricing, underwriting, IT, etc. to develop and improve effective processes, policies, and controls to deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Create an intuitive support model that ensures underwriters are armed with the tools and information to respond quickly to the market with optimal pricing and risk decisions within authority levels and risk appetite.

  • Partner with Everest’s technology and business architecture teams to execute projects on time and on budget.

  • Lead overall process improvement and automation efforts for the business to accelerate decision making, achieve efficiencies, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

  • Implement process changes to address regulatory change, market reform or adoption of best practices.

  • Create the vision and purpose for the operations function, maintaining a pragmatic business focused approach which aligns to the broader Everest Group.

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of operational professionals aligned with Everest’s high performance and collaborative culture.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other Everest functional leaders and external stakeholders including distribution partners, insureds, and third-party service providers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 15+ years of experience in P&C Insurance with knowledge of commercial and specialty lines underwriting and policy servicing

  • Experience in a multinational carrier is preferred
