Then you could be our next...  </em><br/>  </p> <p><span><span><b>Senior Backend developer <br/> AI Center of Excellence</b></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>As a backend developer in our AI Center of Excellence, you will be at the forefront of building the applications enabling AI in our operations. You will work in a cross-functional team to ensure the successful development of AI-driven application into business processes, driving innovation, and enhancing operational efficiency. You will be hands-on involved in the scoping, designing, building, and delivery of our next-generation solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p>The role is a key position in our new AI Center of Excellence team and will be the backbone of setting up our technical assistants. The AI CoE is positioned within SKF Technology Development but will serve across the global organization, supporting different units on their journey and running development activities under our responsibility.</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Key responsibilities</b></p> <ul> <li><b>Backend Development - Primary Focus</b>: Develop and maintain server-side logic in C# and Python, focusing on API development, microservices, and integration with Azure components such as Redis Cache, Cosmos DB, and Azure OpenAI.</li> <li><b>Frontend Development - Occasional:</b> Design and implement user interfaces using React, TypeScript, or JavaScript to ensure a responsive, user-friendly experience for AI/ML-powered applications.</li> <li><b>Machine Learning Integration: </b>Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate models effectively into the Azure environment, leveraging Azure AI services, including Azure AI Search and OpenAI.</li> <li><b>End-to-End Azure Solution Development:</b> Manage the full lifecycle of application development, including deployment automation with GitHub Actions and quality assurance through testing frameworks and code reviews, ensuring reliable, scalable applications within Azure environments.</li> <li><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</b> Work closely with DevOps, AI Engineers, and other cross-functional team members to ensure cohesive, timely, and secure delivery of AI-driven use cases.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>We expect you to have</b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience. </li> <li>Work experience as a backend developer, where you gained strong backend development skills in C# and Python.</li> <li>Experience in frontend languages and frameworks, specifically React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.</li> <li>Proficient in cloud-based solutions, specifically Azure services such as API Management, Redis Cache, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, and Azure AI (OpenAI, AI Search).</li> <li>Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD and deployment automation.</li> <li>Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an Azure-focused environment.</li> <li>Experience in building and deploying Microsoft Teams bots is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><br/> <em>SKF is committed to creating a diverse environment, and we firmly believe that a diverse workforce is essential for our continued success.
