About the Role:

The Team:  

In this role, you’ll plan an integral part of S&P’s Global Equity Compensation team.  The role will be primarily responsible for assisting in daily administration of S&P’s Global Equity Compensation plan, as well as operating cross functionally with other areas of the business, including but not limited to Payroll, Legal, Finance and Treasury teams.  Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, project management abilities and the ability to be a team player are key attributes for success in this role.  This role will report to the Director of Equity Compensation Strategy & Operations.

Responsibility and Impact:

The position is responsible for administering all aspects of S&P Global Inc. long-term incentive compensation programs including cash-based and stock-based awards for our employees.  This includes compliance, reporting and education for different stakeholders.  Our equity plan is administered in the E-Trade system.  You will play a role in coordinating with the various functions across the business that contribute towards and exceptional People experience.

  • Proactively support the strategic direction of the Company through the administration of global long-term incentive programs in alignment with our business and people strategy

  • Collaborate with different stakeholders across the globe and in different business entities, including external vendors

  • Provide direct consultative subject matter expertise to support strategic objectives and develop solutions to address various business needs

  • Challenge status quo and have the ability to influence and improve current processes

  • Administer the Company’s long-term incentive programs globally to ensure that awards and transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner, including:

    • Issue awards

    • Process equity releases

    • Process termination treatments, including more complex calculations

    • Assist and provide Financial Reporting teams with accurate data timely, to ensure accurate accounting of awards

  • Maintain employee records in our vendor system, including grants, cancellations, tax information and global mobility

  • Maintain operational controls and data integrity within recordkeeping systems and gather information for regular audits, reconciliation, and reporting

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to Company’s long-term incentive programs; communicate professionally with equity plan participants, having a passion for teaching others and making the various complicated aspects of the S&P Equity Plan easy to understand and valuable to others

  • Share your forward-looking mindset with the team to ensure we are providing a best-in-class equity program experience to our plan particiants

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,773 to $153,091 USD. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • BS or BA Degree required or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in equity administration at a global public company

  • Certified Equity Compensation (CEP) not required but considered an advantage

  • Strong excel skills; experience with WorkDay and vendor stock plan systems, preferable Etrade’s Equity Edge Online

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Adhering to deadlines, with a sense of urgency and balance multiple priorities

  • High level of integrity, ability to keep information confidential
