About the role:
Join an exciting and evolving talent management team!  The Principal Specialist, Talent Development and Processes role will work with strategic talent management partners to execute talent management strategies and initiatives across the North America region. This role requires an individual to use talent management expertise to support and deliver solutions to various internal customers throughout the talent management and employee life cycle.  The position is designed for a professional who is comfortable owning and managing mid to large size projects while ensuring the outcomes are measurable and match objectives.

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Uses specialized conceptual and practical knowledge in Talent Review, Succession Planning, Performance Management Systems and Talent Program execution to support annual and on-going processes:
    • Train/support HRBPs in Talent Review and Succession Planning activities.
    • Ensure Talent Flags are utilized and entered in systems.
    • Follow up and support global/local program nominations.
  • Regional cohort owner of global programs: Advanced Director Experience, Advanced Manager Experience, People Leader Experience, Manager Pathways.  Support delivery and oversee logistics planning.  Be present as required at live and virtual sessions.
  • Partner with Strategic TM leaders to support divisional and functional talent initiatives.
  • Lead and manage special projects as assigned such as a development series or development focused day for employees.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly/ quarterly development sessions for leaders or employees.
  • Advise and offer solutions and frameworks for Mentoring, Coaching, Sponsorship Programs.
  • Utilize talent dashboards and data to directly inform decisions, create a story, and action talent solutions.
  • Create a feedback loop to Enterprise Talent Management Global Service Owners.
  • Leverage technology, AI, and innovative ideas to propose consolidated and scaled talent solutions for large populations.
  • Participate and/or co-lead global initiatives as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.  
  • Advanced degree in OD or other related fields is an advantage. 
  • Specialized conceptual and practical knowledge in Talent Review, Performance Management, Leadership Program execution and mentoring/coaching/sponsorship programs.
  • Experience assessing, diagnosing, designing, and executing in HiPo & diverse talent development, Performance Management, and Manager Effectiveness.
  • Experience using metrics and pulling and manipulating data to support decision making.
  • Experience using data to identify implications and insights for action planning. 
  • Comfortable using technology and has a keen interest and curiosity to learn new AI technologies.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Windows applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the workplace.
  • Proven competence in Planning, Relationship Building, Communication, Adaptability, Influence, Collaboration, Execution, and Courage.
  • Organizes and prioritizes own work. Ability to manage several projects and activities while delivering results.
  • Mid-size project/program management experience.
  • Works independently with broad guidelines and minimal guidance.
