Purpose
The Office of Professional Development Administrative Assistant position involves both peer interaction and administrative tasks. This position will assist in the preparation of materials for conferences.
Responsibilities
General administrative duties. General office work including compiling evaluation data and survey responses. Assisting with virtual and in-person professional development events Position may include providing support with graphic design and social media.
Work may be completed virtually or in the office, to be coordinated with the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
High school grad or GED. Office experience, and graphic design experience using Office Suite apps, Canvas, and Qualtrics are a plus. Has customer service experience, particularly in a fast-paced environment. Has good communication and organization skills and is detail-oriented. Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Able to work independently and take initiative in learning policies/procedures and completing tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience/interest in working in a university setting is very helpful but not required.
Hourly Rate
$20.00
Working Conditions
Attire: Business Casual
The attire is standard business casual including jeans.
Standard Office Environment, Use of manual dexterity, Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, Lifting, pushing, or pulling
Work Shift
Hours per week - 19
Work hours - 9 to 4 - to be discussed with the supervisor.
The work hours will be based on the needs of the department and may require some travel. - Will be discussed with the supervisor.
