The Job at a Glance

As our Maintenance Technician, internally known as The Robot Doctor, you will assist in the maintenance of building mechanical systems, material handling equipment, packaging equipment and our robotic goods-to-person system in our fulfillment Center. You will be responsible for cleaning, making minor adjustments, inspecting, and lubricating systems as needed.  You will also act as a first responder for mechanical issues.  As you gain knowledge and experience in the role, you will learn to perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment. 

 

A Typical Day

  • Perform basic inspections, cleaning, servicing and preventative maintenance on robotics, packaging equipment, trash compactors, balers, tape machines, and other equipment as needed
  • Light preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment in the fulfillment center including sorters, powered conveyors, truck loaders, and basic assembly of equipment
  • Climbing ladders, using forklifts, scissor lifts, saws, drills, and other tools as needed.
  • Acts as a first responder for fire/sprinkler system alarms.  Respond to operational issues with the mechanical systems, helping to triage the problem and working within the maintenance team to implement solutions.
  • Assembling equipment
  • Assisting with cleaning and sanitizing duties

 

To Land This Opportunity

  • You passionate in learning about electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled equipment in an industrial environment.
  • You enjoy working with your hands, working with mechanical equipment and using tools on a regular basis.
  • You have a valid driver’s license and willing to do minor travel to other facilities as need for training.
  • You can work Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM, Saturdays as needed.
  • You’re an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)
  • You have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 8 or more hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products in combination at any given time.
  • You are vehicle certified or willing to become vehicle certified
  • You enjoy working
