Senior Data Governance Specialist

Position Purpose: Represents Data Governance in assigned data domains to apply Data Ownership & Stewardship structure, evaluate and remediate Data Quality issues, curate the data catalog with data domain/system related definitions and knowledge, and lead owners and stewards in implementing key Data Governance initiatives as part of the business initiatives. Lead data governance efforts in assigned domains. Drive data quality improvements and provide technical and strategic guidance to stakeholders.

• Provides customer support through consistently leading meetings with senior stakeholders and IT
• Performs data analysis through development of code for data domain related needs
• Develops presentations through delivery of results to the internal teams
• Produces the curation of data catalog for data domain
• Validates rules to enhance data quality
• Lead stakeholder meetings to define and enforce data ownership and stewardship
• Conduct complex data profiling and quality assessments
• Design and implement data quality rules and monitoring processes
• Develop advanced SQL queries and visualizations for governance reporting
• Mentor junior specialists and analysts
• Serve as a liaison between business, IT, and governance leadership
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Advanced SQL and scripting (Python, R), strong experience with BI tools and data visualization, understanding of data architecture, integration, and governance frameworks preferred.

Pay Range: $73,800.00 - $132,700.00 per year

Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
