Summary
The Clark County Department of Social Services is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Assistant Manager Social Services position. This position supports the Extended Foster Care (EFC) and Navigator programs. As a member of our team, you will provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of services designed to support youth and young adults transitioning to independence. The ideal candidate will supervise staff, ensure compliance with program requirements, and guide service delivery across housing, education, employment, and behavioral health systems. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in expanding and strengthening existing services, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring positive outcomes for the populations we serve. The candidate will report to the Manager and contribute to ongoing program development and improvement initiatives.This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

Examples of duties
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, Social Sciences, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field AND four years of full-time administrative or management support experience, two (2) years of which include supervisory and/or lead experience in the specific programmatic area, preferably in a public office setting. Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered. Master's Degree preferred.All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application.
