Overview

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Catering Manager in suites and catering activity and will assist the Food & Beverage management team. The Catering Supervisor will actively supervise, coach, direct, train and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards, and will promote a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment. The Catering Supervisor enforces all personnel and operating policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be hospitality driven and well versed in working as a team in a fast-paced environment. 

 

This role will pay a salary of $18 to $22/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Catering Manager and Director of Premium in catering operations, all suite service, and private events. 
  • Assist in the management of catered events from set-up to tear down, including handling communication with hourly staff and culinary staff. Responsible for guest interaction under the advisement of the catering manager. 
  • Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. 
  • Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained, escalating to management or security when needed.   
  • Ensures staff are briefed on event requirements and assigned to a specific area prior to events under the direction of the catering manager. 
  • Enforces all OVG and Moody Center policies and procedures as they relate to guest satisfaction, quality standards, uniform policy, payment processing, operating procedures, and quality presentation. 
  • Assists in closing and balancing of payments, as necessary. Provide general office / administrative / accounting support including input of weekly cash and sales reports, a/p and a/r data entry, event reporting. 
  • Provide general office and clerical support: copying, filing, correspondence, telephone inquiries. 
  • Relay any accounting, HR, employee relations, safety, policy or procedural concerns, and any situation that may result in disciplinary action, to the Catering Manager in a timely and responsible manner.
