Energy and Utilities Industry Executive Director
The North America Cloud Infrastructure (NACI) organization has an immediate opening for an Energy and Utilities Industry Executive Director. This customer facing role will promote the value of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Database technologies/services to energy and utilities executives. They will also be responsible for executing Demand Service strategies/plans to drive adoption of Oracle technologies within the North American region.
As the Energy and Utilities Industry Executive Director, you will have:
- Accumulated deep domain experience of energy and utility (E&U) companies and related industry technology partners.
- Solid functional knowledge of E&U information systems and technologies used to drive their business.
- Acute understanding of organizational processes in E&U companies.
- Experience of current and emerging technologies and trends, including (but not limited to): cloud infrastructure, data strategy and platforms, security, artificial intelligence/machine learning, vectorization, blockchain, analytics, etc.
- History of influencing E&U executives to explore adoption of technologies and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the industry subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Data Platform strategies. Translate horizontal product capabilities into clear, differentiated verticalized industry wrappers - value stories that will entice prospects and customers to adopt our solutions.
- Shape messaging & content curation: Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of content assets—pitch decks, demos, and customer facing narratives—that support Demand Services strategies, marketing campaigns, sales conversations, and events.
- Present and lead conversations at customer-facing events as an industry platform expert. Build and deliver session content that connects technical solutions to business impact and tangible business outcomes.
- Help others tailor their content for industry clarity and relevance.
- Field Marketing Strategy Support: Work alongside sales and field marketing leaders to identify regional needs and customize campaigns. Align content development to sales plays, verticals, and account priorities.
- Event & Forum Content Strategy: Shape session agendas and core messaging for Oracle-led forums, workshops, and test drives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Product Marketing, Cloud Engineering, Alliances and Channels to align and coordinate strategies across the eco-system.
- Campaign Support & Offers: Support campaign execution by contributing content for paid and digital programs. Develop simple, high-impact customer offers—such as free trials, test drives, or hands-on labs—that drive action.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in B2B field selling, product/field marketing, or technical marketing, preferably in the cloud infrastructure, database, or AI/analytics space.
- Deep understanding of enterprise data platforms, including cloud databases, data lakes, analytics, and GenAI/ML services.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for technical and business audiences.
- Strong experience developing and curating content assets (presentations, demos, briefs, narratives) that support sales and customer engagement.
- Confident presenter and communicator, able to represent Oracle in front of customers, executives, and partners.
- Experience collaborating with product management, engineering, and sales teams to ensure message accuracy and relevance.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multicloud architectures (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience is a strong plus).
- Familiarity with modern AI/ML concepts, including GenAI, LLM Ops, and vector search, is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and project ownership.
Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in support of pipeline and revenue objectives. Participant on Sales leadership team and regular pipeline and forecast review meetings. Develops and implements tactical marketing programs in conjunction with Sales, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Direct (Telesales), and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations. Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs. Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner.
