THE JOB:
As a Food Runner at Park MGM, your main role is to efficiently take and deliver guest orders, ensuring exceptional table service and guest satisfaction. You will also be responsible for maintaining tables, managing side work, and performing general cleaning duties in your assigned areas. Your goal is to support the team in providing a seamless dining experience for our guests, playing a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
THE STARTING PAY RATE: $13.5343 / Per Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically to ensure they feel welcomed and valued
- Demonstrate expertise in sales techniques and service delivery for all menu items, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Keep tables clean and orderly using a discreet service approach
- Accurately itemize bills and handle payment transactions efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas, including side stations, tables, and Point of Sale (POS) stations
- Anticipate and promptly address guests’ needs with a proactive and responsive approach
- Coordinate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address and resolve any guest or staff requests and issues

- Hours of Operation:
- Wednesday – Sunday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Monday - Tuesday: Closed
- (May work before/after these times for opening and closing procedures)
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain both a Food Handler’s card and Alcohol Awareness card
- High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Three (3) years of previous relevant food & beverage experience in a similar resort setting
- Previous serving experience in a fine dining restaurant
- Knowledgeable of characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
- Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Knowledgeable of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Capable of standing and walking for a majority of the shift
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
