RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the stable operation of computer systems and network connections, including planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Organize and direct configuration and operation of information management systems.
  • Analyze and resolve end-user software program and connectivity issues.
  • Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
  • Increase system administrator efficiency through automation tools and scripts; develop and document administrator procedures.
  • Provide end-user training and conduct skills assessments.
  • Recommend technological directions aligned with business vision.
  • Deliver local and remote maintenance support for systems at multiple locations, including general maintenance, upgrades, and new software installations.
  • Direct work of other system administrators to provide ongoing system support, performance optimization, and user assistance.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing and fault tolerance.
  • Perform vulnerability management and ensure system hardening in compliance with cybersecurity standards​

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • Ten (10) years of specialized experience. (Specialized experience is defined as progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, where the majority are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, at least four years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.
  • Certifications:
    • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (One of the Following):
      • A+ CE
      • CCNA Security
      • CND
      • Network+ CE
      • SSCP
      • CySA+
      • GICSP
      • GSEC
      • Security+ CE
      • CASP+ CE
      • CCNP Security
      • CISA
      • CISSP (or Associate)
      • GCED
      • GCIH
      • CCSP
  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline
  • Clearance:
    • Must possess a Secret clearance (IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5))
