Project Manager (m/w/d) Metal Recovery Plants / IBA / Grate for Riddling

As part of our Technology Group, we are establishing a team at the Gummersbach location to develop innovative technologies in the field of metal recovery / Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) - with various options for flexible work arrangements within an international matrix organization.

Job Description

In this role, you will lead multiple metal recovery projects for old plant facilities in different countries and cultures, and you will be responsible for product management of "Grate for Riddling" (GfR). Specifically, this includes:

• Supporting management in developing the strategic plan to achieve growth and profitability goals for metal recovery and "Grate for Riddlings," as well as developing the expert team and a supportive culture.
• Building internal knowledge about IBA processing and "Grate for Riddlings."
• Assisting management in preparing the budget and necessary resources (own or joint) to drive revenue and margins. • Implementing equipment and machinery standardization.
• Coordinating internal resources and third-party suppliers/vendors to ensure the smooth execution of projects, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Managing customer, third-party supplier/vendor, and stakeholder relationships.
• Enhancing team competence, ensuring knowledge transfer from IBA new build teams, especially in the context of implementing new technologies.
• Providing feedback to Engineering, Supply Chain, PM, and Construction to ensure the complete maintainability and operability of IBA facilities.
• Participating in the implementation of the QHSE policy and taking a proactive QHSE approach.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in maintenance and project management for retrofit projects in industrial facilities (experience in the IBA field is advantageous).
• Experience in building teams and organizing for each individual project.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering, construction, and/or commissioning management.
• Profound knowledge of technical processes or products applied in IBA facilities and in the field of sales and product management.
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to travel internationally.
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
