Job Description Summary:

The Clinical Trials Manager is a licensed professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the management, administration, and coordination of nursing services for the Clinical Trials division at Naven and in accordance with the company standards and policies as well as state, federal and accrediting body guidelines. The Clinical Trials Manager assists in the planning of goals, and organizes, administers, and supervises program administration for Clinical Trials. The Clinical Trials Manager is responsible for assisting department leadership for meeting operational and financial goals. In a Home Health Agency, this position may also serve as the alternate administrator and or alternate Director of Nursing.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Oversees all operational and clinical aspects of clinical trials; ensuring adherence to protocols regulations, ethical guidelines, maintaining GCP compliance; managing adverse events; issues escalation and resolution; ensuring accurate and timely data collection, documentation, and reporting etc.

  • Partners with customers to support and understand their overall business objectives and critical success factors. Leads and facilitates standing meeting cadences with programs

  • Supervises and evaluates Clinical Trial Project Coordinators

  • Partners with the Nurse Managers on the assignment, training, supervision and evaluation of all nursing personnel who provide direct patient care for Clinical Trials

  • Understanding study-specific billing procedures and collaborating with Billing and Invoicing to ensure accurate patient/ customer billing

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with an active and unrestricted license in the current state of practice

  • 2 years of clinical leadership (supervisory/managerial) experience in the Clinical Trial space

  • 2 years of infusion nursing experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of documentation and requirements for home health/infusion care goods and services in the clinical trial space

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large scale projects within the clinical trials space, effectively implementing and overseeing their organization to ensure completion and compliance

  • Demonstrates competency in the clinical management of home infusion patients as evidenced by documented previous work experience. Knowledgeable and competent in-patient management skills including the nursing process

  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates

  • Experience in providing training and education on clinical services processes, documentation, and user manuals

  • Experience applying knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations

  • Basic PowerPoint, Excel, Word skills and ability to independently create, navigate deliverables

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time within a home office setting.

Travel Requirements:  (if required)

  • Willing to travel 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
