Intake Nurse

We are a growing, private, 134-bed psychiatric hospital that is dedicated to providing high-quality care for adults, geriatrics, and adolescents (ages 5-17) who are suffering from behavioral health and chemical dependency issues. Our patients recover at our new, state-of-the-art medical facility in the Seven Hills area of Henderson, Nevada. Henderson is one of the fastest growing cities in the US and is located just 7 miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip and a couple of miles from beautiful Lake Mead.

Join the team of highly dedicated mental health professionals. We are presently looking for FT Intake Nurses (Shifts are 7 pm-7:30 am Night Shift needed) who will be responsible for:

• Reviewing clinical and medical documentation from community hospitals and assessments at Seven Hills Hospital for appropriateness for Seven Hills.
• Providing clinical information to and taking admitting orders from Seven Hills Psychiatrists
• Responding to prospective patients and referral channels by providing psychological assessments and/or appropriate treatment options.
• Providing managed care entities with clinical information regarding patient psychiatric hospitalization.
• Providing crisis intervention to prospective patients, their families, and external agencies via telephone and/or in person.
• Making appropriate referrals based on patients’ needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

Education:

A Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university

Experience:

At least 2 years’ experience in a psychiatric setting as Intake Nurse or related experience.

Licensure:

NV Registered Nurse license

1 year Med Surge Experience Preferred

Requires Familiarity of Microsoft Excel
