Student - Office Assistant, Athletics Communications

Description
Students will work with the office of Athletic Communications to cover the Falcons' intercollegiate athletic programs from the perspective of public relations, marketing, and sports information. This includes, but is not limited to, photos, videos, gameday promotions, public address announcing, statistical input, and video production.
$8.00/hour
Primary Duties
Possible Duties Include:
1. Sports photography and/or videography
2. Working with GoMessiah.tv streaming productions
3. Working with statistical software to collect stats during game action
4. Game day promotions
5. Public Address announcing at sporting events
7. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Secondary Duties
Other duties as assigned.
Education Required
Education Preferred
Experience Required
Experience required may include a familiarity with specific sports, the least of which may include an understanding of rules, statistics, and concepts within the sport that would allow the worker to accomplish tasks with effectiveness.
Experience Preferred
Some sports knowledge preferred, but not necessary.
Skills, Characteristics Required
Student workers must be dependable, reliable, willing to work with others, organized in their work, and have a great attitude.
Special Working Conditions
For outdoor sporting events, conditions may include windy, rainy, sunny, or cold.
Dress Code Requirements
Students will be required to wear pants (or, in appropriate weather, shorts) that are not jeans.
Students will also be required to wear either a collared shirt or a shirt provided to them by the office.
