Summary
Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Delivery Management and Planning As the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Delivery Management and Planning, you will lead the teams that ensure APS’s critical technology infrastructure is reliable, secure, and ready to support Arizona’s energy future. In this role, you guide infrastructure delivery, data center services, service management, and operational compliance so our systems operate smoothly and safely. Your leadership helps APS meet regulatory expectations, strengthen operational resilience, and align technology investments with business priorities. You’ll collaborate across business and technology teams to support safe, reliable, and affordable energy for our customers. As a people-centered leader, you will develop talent, champion continuous improvement, and help APS live its Purpose of doing what is right for the people and prosperity of our state. What your day would be likeYou are responsible for:
- Lead infrastructure delivery by directing intake, planning, and cross-team coordination to deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
- Oversee data center operations to ensure capacity, lifecycle planning, performance, and reliability for high‑availability environments.
- Strengthen service management practices so incidents, requests, and changes are handled consistently, transparently, and with customer focus.
- Ensure operational compliance through readiness, regulatory alignment, continuity planning, and risk management.
- Develop and support teams by coaching leaders, building capabilities, and ensuring clarity, collaboration, and resources for success.
- Manage financials and performance using data-driven insights to optimize service quality, operational reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- A proven IT operations leader experienced in managing enterprise infrastructure, service delivery, or technology operations in mission‑critical environments.
- A strategic, systems-minded thinker who connects daily execution with long-term business goals, architecture, and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements
Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Delivery Management and Planning
- Requires BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related degree
- PLUS eight (8) years of progressively responsible, related experience in areas of assignment , or an equivalent combination of relative education and work experience.
- AND fice (5) years previous supervisory experience and demonstrated effective leadership, project management, interpersonal and communications skills.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to apply advanced techniques and guide others in application.
- Knowledge of production processing and support center activities preferred.
- Knowledge of distributed and/or mainframe environments, network architecture, office product standards, applications, and web technology.
Major Accountabilities
1) Direct a major segment of IT activities to support planning, project management, portfolio management, application development and support, operating systems, middleware,
enterprise engineering, construction, network operations and support, database administration, and security.
2) Provide leadership and direction for delivering IT support and services.
Develop and retain a highly skilled IT team including leadership personnel and leadership back up.
Create and sustain business/technical literacy and maintain clarity about values, visions, meaning and purpose.
