Position: High School One on One Part-Time Para Educator

Reports to: High School Principal
Position Overview:
MOT Charter School is a small, mission-driven community dedicated to providing a high-quality learning experience for every student. As a classroom para-professional, you will work closely with a special education teacher to deliver individualized, one-to-one support while assisting classroom teachers in creating an engaging and effective learning environment.
GENERAL performance expectations
Understand and support the mission and vision of the MOT Charter School.
Maintain a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and situations.
- Utilize online resources for instruction and communication.
Serve as a positive role model for students and professionals alike.
- Work cooperatively with other faculty, staff, and administrators to support the school's objectives.
- Proactively contribute to a positive school climate.
- Develop and maintain positive relations within the school community, as well as with stakeholders outside the school community.
SPECIFIC performance expectations
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission, goals, and objectives of MOT Charter School by supporting both students and instructional staff in achieving academic success.
- Collaborate with classroom and special education teachers to deliver instruction that helps all students meet established academic standards.
- Assist in implementing differentiated instruction and provide targeted support to diverse learners through one-on-one, small group, or whole-class assistance as directed by the teacher.
- Reinforce instructional strategies and helping monitor student progress.
- Provide flexible classroom support by assisting students individually or in small groups while the teacher leads whole-class instruction, and vice versa.
- Contribute to a school culture focused on continuous improvement by supporting data collection efforts and using information to address barriers to student achievement.
- Foster positive relationships with families and the broader community by supporting opportunities for engagement in student learning and school activities.
- Uphold a collaborative, student-centered environment that promotes academic growth, responsibility, and the overall success of MOT Charter School.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field
- Hold or be eligible for Para Certification
Other Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office and in the use of a student information system.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
