Job Description:

Facilities manager for all College of Engineering facilities.  This includes 400,000+ square feet of building space.  Works with Facility Services and outside contractors as necessary to report and resolve issues, monitor maintenance activities for quality assurance, and assure that College Facilities are well maintained. 40%

Inventory/asset manager: Responsible for the maintenance and coordination of both asset and space inventories for the College of Engineering.  This includes coordination and verification of these inventories with departments as well as maintaining and verification of inventories at the college level. 20%

Event Assistance: assists with logistical help for event with the College of Engineering. This includes, but is not limited to, space planning, set-up coordination, and take down. The facilities manager with will work constituents both internal and external to LSU. 20%

Safety Coordinator for the College.  Performs safety training classes for the College and performs routine building inspections for safety issues. 10%

Other duties as assigned.  This includes, but not limited to, responding to any type of requests from College administration, maintaining college owned electric vehicles, and purchasing supplies and materials as needed for the College.  Additionally, this includes being advising and coordinating responses to emergencies on a 24 hour basis 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in facilities management, construction trades, and/or building maintenance.

Additional Requirements:

Will require an Office of Motor Vehicles Report (MVR) and are subject to drug screens per PM-33/PS-67/FASOP HR-04. A valid Driver's License is required.

Special Instructions:

Manages all facilities and infrastructure related to the College of Engineering. This includes, but not limited to, handling maintenance issues, monitoring maintenance and renovation projects, performing inspections, inventory management, and assist with event set-up/coordination.

May need to work additional/outside normal business hours as necessary for special projects, and be available on 24-hour basis to handle emergencies.
