Accounting Lead - Senior Financial Analyst

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Accounting Lead - Senior Financial Analyst based in our Indianapolis, IN location. The Accounting Lead - Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Indianapolis Plant Controller and will work closely with the Accounting & Finance team, Shared Services Center and business function Operations.

 

This position will be a key contributor to the North Americas Finance team and be responsible for general accounting for the Indianapolis facility (four businesses). The ideal candidate will have strong financial accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, variance analysis, internal control, and audit.  The individual must possess excellent analytical and communications skills.

 

The Senior Financial Analyst - Accounting Lead will be a critical finance contact for actual closing, budgeting and forecasting and variance explanations. They must possess excellent analytical and communications skills, work independently and be able to work with and support leadership.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for Indianapolis and related businesses, including journal entry preparation and posting.
• Manage the Hyperion submission for respective locations and execute and coordinate the monthly intercompany reconciliation.
• Deliver on internal, external auditing and tax requirements and financial analysis.
• Complete monthly forecast submission for balance sheet, central P&L lines and cashflow
• Develop and maintain key accounting policies, controls, and documentation together with Accounting Compliance Team
• Own the balance sheet review process, perform trend analysis on balance sheet accounts with significant balances, investigating any variance, and recommending corrective actions
• Contribute to annual budget and planning processes and ensure integrity of the budgeting and forecasting.
• Establish monitoring processes for a collaboration with a business shared service center and train team members.

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• BS in Finance, Accounting, or similar analytical discipline
• 7 years of relevant work experience
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles
• Sophisticated presentation skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels with self-confidence (Senior Management)

 

WHAT WE PREFER

• Advanced degree and/or financial leadership program
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Working knowledge in manufacturing
• Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, hands-on experience in regular transactions of HFM and SAP (and/or similar ERP system)
• Working knowledge within Business Intelligence (BI) reporting
